Have we as Christians forgotten the roots of our beliefs? ?
A Gabbi asked:
For years I have gone to church and heard sermons about Christ coming to save me from my sins, but I rarely ever thought, why? For the past few years I have been digging deeper into the Jewish culture, and the Hebrew language, and I have never felt more fulfilled in my faith in the Messiah than I have now.
I think that throughout time, Christians have neglected to remember from where are Messiah came and for what reason. Looking through the prophecies and learning more about the Law the Lord gave to Moses has given me a much better understanding of what I believe and I’m wondering if other Christians are feeling the same way? I felt that the law was something that didn’t matter to me because Christ fulfilled it.
Are there others who feel the same?

Oh my, I think you are totally right… the old testament is “Christ promised”… the new, Christ revealed.
The Old Testament is FULL of golden treasures. I discovered early in my Christian life- that NOT all preachers are created equal. It’s very sad to say.
I was blessed to have sat under the teachings of a very great teacher, and got solid meat, sound Biblical teaching.
God Bless you. There are several good websites out there with good teachings from the Old Testament. From Jews who got saved.
I have walked this walk for about 4 to 5 years n I have found that Christians that make it about themselves they build up pride n they forget the reason..Jesus Christ…its not about us… Its all about Him…
N u know if u confessed He died on the cross for ur sins then u are already saved…
i sort of agree. i definitely think that our obedience to God and our thankfulness to him has been a little lax. the 10 commandments are the greatest law ever made in my opinion, just cause Jesus fulfilled it doesn’t mean we can forget about it, as ignoring it or breaking it would lead us to sin. but we aren’t perfect, we can only become more righteous through the Holy Spirit. check everything by scripture. love is pretty much the fulfillment of the law so if your doing that God Bless!
Amen for this Question!!
I heard such a wonderful Sermon today. It’s to long to type out but such a great reminder about how Christmas has turned into something so far away from Christ- How can Atheists, Buddhist etc.. celebrate it?
It had become a three month commercial money maker.
The law is still needed- Its shows how imperfect we are and how far away mankind has come from God.
BUT, through Jesus Christs Blood we can be reunited to or Sovereign God
Merry Christmas!
